Along with our anniversary we have inevitably found ourselves evaluating many things about the progress we have made, struggles we have had, where we are and where we want to be. I don’t know if any new business can look back on their first year and think, “We did exactly what we set out to do and are exactly where we thought we would be.” Well, we are no different. Although we are humbled at how well we were received, accepted and employed, many things that happened this year were more than we expected (much good and some difficult!) We HOPED we would be successful and that people would like what we were doing but never imagined that we would be booked 6+ months out. It isn’t something we expected or like … we promise!!! Please don’t misunderstand, in NO WAY are we complaining about having work on the horizon, in this economy, who would? We couldn’t be more pleased about that. But what we DO want you to know is that we A). We understand the heart, sweat (and funds!) that go into starting (or reinventing) a business …we just did that very thing! and B). We are doing everything we can in order to get to our clients as fast as we can. From hiring, to working weekends, to restructuring packages/rates, we are ALL doing ALL that we can. Please know that although the 3 of us are running a business and strive to be successful (and hopefully make enough to feed our babies) the MAIN reason we are here is because we LOVE design, we BELIEVE in design and we desperately want to share it with as many people as we can.
